Jalchobi – Exhibition cum Competition
In the year 2019 the club took up one of the bravest endeavours of the year – that is to host an International Photography Competition cum Exhibition – the first one of its kind in Jalpaiguri. Although we had financial crunches, we took it as a challenge and we became successful at last. We received around 1000 photographs from about 300 participants from across India. We had presented a sum of Rs. 50,000/- as prize. The members worked relentlessly to make the programme a success. It was a picturesque gift from the photographers and members of JPA to the people of our town. The exhibition hall resonated with the smiles of satisfaction and amazement. More than 5000 thousand people thronged the hall to have a view of the splendid photographs.
